4 Mistakes that destroy your golf tour

From today on, if you make these mistakes, it's because you want to.
But you will have no excuse as far as their knowledge is concerned.
These are the 4 mistakes that will destroy your golf tour and...YOU KNOW 😉
4 MISTAKES THAT WILL DESTROY YOUR GOLF RETURN.

Golf has wonderful things that make us come back the next day.

But it also has other things that are totally maddening and these make us hit many more shots than we want.

These are small details that if we manage to control them or at least minimize them, they will help you a lot to control the high results.

That's why it's necessary for you to be clear about the most common mistakes that destroy your golfing lap.

1ST MISTAKE: NOT WARMING UP BEFORE GOING OUT

It seems obvious, but I see a lot of times that players don't warm up.

But not only that, they don't give balls.

Warming up is a fundamental process, which is within what a round of golf is all about.

I don't say this, there are many studies that support it.

The body appreciates the warm-up when we are going to do any kind of exercise, in others it is much more necessary than in golf, but that doesn't mean it isn't important.

A very clear example is professional golfers.

They start their warm-up 1 hour and a half earlier.

They start in the gym or on the practice course itself, doing dynamic exercises, with elastic bands, very fashionable at the moment.

You have to have one thing clear that many people confuse, WARMING UP is not the same as STYLING UP.

Warming up is done before going out to play.

The stretching afterwards.

2ND MISTAKE: NOT HAVING A GAME STRATEGY

This may seem silly to you, or it may be too far away because you're starting to play.

But I assure you it's something fundamental.

Very few teachers teach you field strategy.

It's one thing to know how to hit the ball and another to know how to play golf.

At this point you probably need some examples, right?

Well, here goes.

Example #1: Hitting the 3rd wood on the fairway.

You get to the par 5 that you have 180m and you come up.

Ball on the fairway, perfectly placed and you say that this is yours ... you go for the EAGLE.

What you don't remember is that you and 90% of the players don't hit a 3 wood efficiently in the fairway.

And that means efficient, because you don't hit it in the middle of the club almost every time.

This makes your 3 wood do 20-30m less than it is prepared for.

Result: In the best case scenario, you will have hit 140m.

At worst, you'll have gotten yourself into a lot of trouble.

Because most par 5's on golf courses have small greens, did you know that?

Good designers make par 5 greens smaller than normal for one simple reason - to protect them.

So remember ¨TÚ YOU CAN'T PUT THE WOOD 3 FROM THE STREET, PUT AN IRON 6¨

Example #2: Flag throwing from the rough.

Here it is merely a matter of statistics.

A Pga Tour player only takes 40% of the greens when he is in the rough.

So figure out how that percentage can be lowered in our case.

So ¨TIRA A GREEN, NOT BANDERA¨

3RD ERROR: EXCUSES THAT AFFECT EVERYONE EQUALLY

This mistake happens when you're playing badly.

Then you get into a dynamic of ¨destrucción masiva¨ and everything can only get worse.

Take it from me, what happened last weekend at a tournament.

Come on, I lived it in my own flesh.

Example #1: The weather

If it rains because it rains.

If it's windy because it's windy.

And we have a thousand more excuses.

But at no time do we think, that these conditions are the same for everyone.

And I tell you one thing, I had always applied it, but last tournament I didn't and that's how it was.

The bad conditions discard many players for the fight of the tournament, then your chances of winning increase.

Example #2: The pace of play

I'll give you one thing here, I like to play fast and loose.

Notice I didn't say at a normal pace, but fast.

I'm a player who doesn't do practice swings and I walk fast.

This weighs heavily on my lap and I can't control it.

When I go slow, I get desperate.

So you'll say, what advice are you going to give me hahaha

And you're partly right, if I'm desperate about the slow game, what advice can I give?

Well, very simple and at the same time logical.

When the rhythm of the game is slow, you will have more time to look at the falls, pose the hits better and be more convinced of the hit you have to make.

Turn this disadvantage into an advantage.

And also lower the revolutions per minute of rhythm, after all, you will have to wait 😉

4TH ERROR: PLAYS IN MEDAL FORMAT (BY HITS)

The Stableford format has many good things, I am a clear advocate for the promotion of this sport.

But it has others that make us play worse.

One thing that helps a lot, is to think of the Medal Play format, that is, as if all strokes count.

This will make you play better golf, believe me.

You will appreciate when you have to risk and when you don't.

Play golf as if all strokes count, no one is worth more than another.

It will change your mentality and you will know how to make better decisions on the golf course.

Start by playing with your friends for strokes, with colleagues... no Stableford.

So, dear crewmen.

Don't do what I, two weeks ago...

That I made each and every one of those mistakes, this was my experience and I came out very disappointed in my attitude.

That's why I wanted to share this article with you, so you don't make the same mistakes I did.

As always, comment on what you want and your opinion about this article...there is also some mistake with the issue of the clubs, better they are always custom made golf clubs, but that will be more articles.
